Business Start-Ups - Our Employer's Toolkit
/Are you a lockdown entrepreneur?
Despite Covid-19 bringing many challenges to businesses and individuals, it has generated a record number of new business formations as recorded at Companies House. Companies House data analysed by the Centre for Entrepreneurs found an increase in new businesses of 13.9% since 2019. As an entrepreneur, I have been delighted to see small glimpses of optimism for the future, particularly in the form of new start-up companies. My aunt (herself a successful businesswoman) has always said that people become entrepreneurs out of necessity rather than aspiration. Covid may have created that necessity and may also have encouraged/allowed people to explore their options. As small business-owners ourselves, Emma and I have lived through the daunting and exciting first stages of establishing our own business as an employment law firm. Whilst we can no longer invite you into our offices for a cup of tea and a chat, we still excel at employment law and can guide you through the essentials when setting up in business and employing staff for your new venture.
A key piece of information for any new employer is that your new employees must (by law) be given a statement of their terms and conditions from day one. Our Employers’ Toolkit means this is an easy one to strike from your to-do list. The Toolkit contains an offer letter, template employment contract and essential employment policies. It contains all the guidance you need to customise the contract for your employees for just £350 + VAT for the suite of documents. You can use the templates again and again at no additional cost.
If you are a new business owner taking on staff or if you require advice on any other aspect of employment law, please do get in touch.
